Heyyyyy there beautiful people!!!

First of all, let me inform you (in case, you are not already aware of it) that Chelsea's Cup N Cake is now open in Vacoas!!! YESSS, you have read it right!!! It is now open in Vacoas, at Sonah Lane next to A1 building- yeah, that same building where Le Printemps is found, since beginning of this month!! I only learnt it 2 weeks ago-when I was taken there by none other than my Bae <3 (awww!! It was very sweet of him) So, I am thankful to him for making me discovering it!!

We were actually planning for quite sometimes to head to the one located in Curepipe but due to lack of time, we were unable to do so! But this one in Vacoas, is a blessing for me! Like literally!!! When Bae first took me there one afternoon after a hectic day at work, I was OVERJOYED because it was soooo unexpected! He knows how much I love fancy places! And I was so so so happy about it that I forgot why I was taken there!

The Place!
It is soooo instagrammy peeps!! This is the best description I can give when I love a place! If it's Instagram worthy, then you know it's the place-to-be!

Let's talk about the deco! The vines and flowers are what captured my attention the moment I saw it! We have the decorative bicycle outside with colourful flower arrangements against the white colour of the bicycle frame! Even when we peek through the window, we can see how carefully each of the flowers have been arranged to create this delightful sight! At first, you can mistake this place for a florist's place, except that it's not one! Everything looks so fresh and elegant and it is well complimented by the delicious smell of baked pastries and cakes! As I said before, I am attracted to fancy places- this one is no exception! I love this place already! Themed-wise, it won my heart! This is my Coup de Coeur for this month!!!

While I was going all "oohhhh" and "aaahhhh" just by looking around, Bae and I were warmly welcome by a sweet lady. Most of the pastries and sweets were almost over since we went there at 5pm. And I was still having difficulty to choose something for myself because of the yummy options that were in front of me. The sweet lady gave us details of each and every sweets and pastries showcased which I really appreciated! And who would not?! People, this is what I call Customer Service on fleek! One, because she is there helping you out with to take a decision; Two, she is actually explaining to you what are the main ingredients of each and everything; Three, because she is very polite! I love these kind of people, who always have a smile on their face when greeting you and welcoming you in! (I can be kidnapped this way!!)

So, amongst the yummy food proposals were:  Mini Black Forests cakes, Passion Fruit Cheesecake (it is vegetarian, btw), Chocolate Butterscotch Brownies, Scones, Religieuse, Tarts,.....I am stopping the list here because it's making me hungry!

I opted for a Quiche au Poulet (I love Quiche Au Poulet, in general) and after a few hesitations between Butterscotch and Religieuse, Bae chose the Religieuse (with Lindt Chocolate and Pistachio filling)!! And I assume that it was really delicious because he refused to share it with me and kept saying "li mari bon" after every bite. Tbh, I trust his words! As for my Quiche au Poulet, this is the best so far! I have eaten Quiche at several places but this one is simply wonderful because there were pieces of pineapples inside! And pineapples just make everything better!!Hehe! I loved the crumbly texture of the tart itself and the well-cooked filling! And also, I want to add that the takeaway boxes are really cute!

My Say About this Place

Vacoas needed a Chelsea's Cup N Cake and now it has one!!! It adds on a refreshing touch to this part of the town! Food-wise, I am going to say that the presentation is very neat and appealing. The showcasing of the cakes itself, look sooooooo attractive- it makes me wanna cheat my diet more than just once a week!! The location also is very strategic- There is Le Printemps nearby, a Hardware Store on the opposite, schools in the surrounding area, bus station, ... it is accessible and easy to locate! Customer-Service- Ahhh, they won my heart!!! I love them! If they keep up with the standard, they are going to win more hearts-definitely!!!

So, if you have a sweet tooth and you are craving for sweets, AND you live in the vicinity of Vacoas, just head to Chelsea's Cup N Cake. I would also advise that you check their facebook page, Chelsea's Cup N Cake to take a look at the photos and drool over the yummy food! And before I forget, you can pre-order birthday cakes, engagement cakes, anniversaries...as well! You can thank me later! *wink wink*

With lots love!
Till my next post,

If you are looking for a nice, cosy place to have lunch in the bustling city of Port Louis, then Café de La Presse is the place to be.

I love this place <3

This photo was taken on the first time I went there in 2017
Café de la Presse won my heart the very first time I stepped in there. It is located on the first floor of an old building in the bustling street of La Chaussée. I immediately fell in love with the modern, industrialist decor and the positive atmosphere. The table settings are just perfect, in the sense that there are a lot of free space to move around. In simple words, I would say "This place is so instagrammy". And it even got a couch with a nice background, where you can read magazines or newspapers while waiting for your table to be ready. Psst.. you even have access to Wi-Fi, in case you are there for some work purposes!!

With an amazingly friendly and very welcoming staff, the service offered is one of the best. I believe that the positive attitude of the staff contributes a lot to the smooth running of this place.

The Food ordered by my friends and I
Now let's talk about the most important thing: THE MENU
The menu is a minimalist one and well designed. I have been there several times and most of the time, I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Wrap with salad and fries. I am that kind of person, who would go through a menu 5 times to end up ordering the the usual thing. But what I like is that the menu also consists of veg dishes which I have tried and loved it. The food presentation is, by the way, very neat and "very instagrammy". No wonder why before eating, I feel the need to take out my phone and take a few snaps to post them with a bunch of food related hashtags. Typical of me!!

So, not only does the food look good, it also tastes good. As for the drinks, I often opt for the ice teas or the flavoured virgin mojito. So far, my favourite is the Blueberry flavoured virgin mojito.

Mason Jars make it look even better!

Price wise, it is not at all expensive plus value for money. All the food in the menu is affordable. And guess what! If you are in group but you have to pay your share- they split the bill for you- which makes things much easier. One minor hitch is that they don't bring you the bill to your table. Personally, I don't mind walking to the counter to settle my bill because it gives me the opportunity to take a look at the yummy yummy desserts on display. Think about that yummy Red Velvet cake...So mouth-watering!!

So if you are heading to Café de la Presse, don't forget to make your reservations if you don't want to wait for too long to be allocated a table. And if you know what you want for lunch, you can order beforehand. This will definitely save you some time.

To conclude, I would say, Café de la Presse is highly recommendable. It has always lived up to my expectations and getting better every time I go there. Most of the time, I have been there with friends and colleagues and I have always had a great time.

So basically, if you are inviting me for lunch and it's at Café de La Presse, I'M DEFINITELY COMING!! It is open during the weekdays and sometimes on Saturdays- check out its Facebook page Café de La Presse . And for reservations, call on the 212 85 90 and then you head to 5, rue la chaussee, Port Louis.

Have a nice time!
