Love, Laughter & ‘I Told You So’ ✨

Today marks my 3rd civil wedding anniversary (Yaaay! 🎉) and also our 5th engagement anniversary (double celebration because I love drama 💅). And honestly, peeps? These years have been a whole ride — a roller coaster, a sega gone off-beat, a Mauritian bus adventure where the driver thinks he’s in Fast & Furious, and I’m in the backseat holding my bag, my breath, and my sanity.

But through all this chaos, one thing stayed constant:
the two of us, showing up for each other no matter what 💛.

Somewhere after the wedding, something adorable (and slightly suspicious) happened…
My husband accidentally became my bestie 🤭.

From the uni days where he probably thought I was too loud for his quiet soul, to now — where we now shares a home, a life, a fridge, and all my nonsense… we’ve come a long way.

We’re a team.
Not the tidy, aesthetic Pinterest kind.
But the ride-or-die, gym-together, laugh-together, judge-tiktoks-together-at-1AM kind of team 🫶😂.

🏋️‍♀️ The Gym Chronicles

We love going to the gym together.
He’s focused, disciplined, serious-serious.
Meanwhile I’m there stretching, asking “Is this enough?” after my third squat and taking suspiciously long water breaks 😌💧.
But it works. We push each other, we support each other — and we laugh at each other’s form… respectfully.

🍽️ The Food Situationship

And don’t get me started on food😋.
This man LOVES good food with a passion I will never fully understand.
I love food too, but am I a foodie? No.
I don’t go around analysing the texture of things.
I just eat. I smile. I move on.
Meanwhile he’s there planning his next meal like it’s a national project💛

📱 TikTok at Midnight

Our nightly ritual?
Scrolling TikTok till the wee hours.
We judge together 👀, laugh at the same nonsense, and send each other videos even though we’re literally inches apart.
That's Modern romance, okay?

📚 The Book Report Sessions

And then there’s my reading habit.
I’ll read a whole book, come to him dramatically like, “LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED.”
And he listens.
Patiently.
Sometimes.
He’ll nod, pretend to care deeply about fictional characters he has never met and will never read about. But he listens anyway. And that’s love❤️.

⚖️ The Balance

He’s introverted, private, peaceful.
I’m extroverted-ish, camera-ready, memory-keeper.
I’m the one posing; he’s the one hiding 😌📸.
I cook; he eats like he’s training for a football match.
He watches football; I read books.
And when things go wrong?
I get to say, “See? I told you so 🙃.”
Privilege of being the wife.

Somehow, all of it blends into this beautifully chaotic partnership that feels like home.

So here’s to us —
3 years married, 5 years engaged, countless memories, unlimited TikTok sessions, gym dates, shared meals, and endless “I told you so’s.”

Wouldn’t trade it for anything 💛✨💍

Until next time,
