Isn't it so cliché to see all the "new year, new me" posts flooding all your social media timeline at this time of the year? But that's okay. It's the New Year, peeps!
We all use the New Year as an excuse to bring about changes in our lives by setting up resolutions and goals- some of which are way too unrealistic to stick to. Yet, every year we find ourselves listing out all the things we are going to do and all the traps we are not going to fall into.
2019 has been a year full of surprises and lessons- almost like every year. A year ago, I was typing my last blog post for 2018 about "Life lessons I am carrying with me into 2019". And here I am, writing another end of year post. I barely posted anything on my blog this year. Not that I did not want to, but it was mostly because I was trying to do too many things at a time, which led to me having to reconsider my priorities and rework on them to be able to achieve my goals.
As we are transitioning into this new decade, I am not fancying finding a "new me". I believe that it's just going to be the "same me" with stronger determination and a new perspective. And I am happy being the same me. Of course, being happy with oneself, does not mean that one has to remain stagnant in life. You have to work on yourself all the time, constantly evaluating yourself, your surroundings and ensure that you are surrounded by people who push you towards success, rather than people who drag you down to dirt. 2020 should be the year where you focus on your well-being and remove whatever is draining your energy.
For me, 2020 is going to be a year where I intend to continue the work I have already started on myself, start new projects, finish incomplete projects, invest more of my time in doing more things that I love and spend quality time with the people I truly care for. And yes, I will make sure to be more regular with my blog posts.
So, as we are ending this year on a cyclonic note, I hope that 2020 be a year where you learn, live, and do things you always wanted to do. Here's me wishing you all a Happy New Year filled with new hope, new joy and new beginnings.
Till the next post,
